Christopher G. Gordon is the founder of the Law Office, bringing a vast range of experience and expertise to family law cases, whether small or complex, involving such issues as dissolution, separation, paternity, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, property characterization and division, as well as restraining order matters.
Mr. Gordon has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since being admitted to the California State Bar in 2005. For approximately 15 1/2 years, he represented a wide variety of clients at a well-known boutique family law firm in Beverly Hills before opening the Law Office in 2021.
Mr. Gordon is equally adept at handling both high-conflict cases involving contentious litigation, and more collaborative cases focusing on mediated solutions. Clients appreciate his empathetic listening skills, calm demeanor, and active pursuit of practical solutions to today’s common and uncommon family law conflicts. Mr. Gordon makes it a priority to not only explain the law to his clients, but to explain why he recommends a particular legal strategy. Some attorneys “talk down” to their clients and just tell them what to do, but that is the opposite of Mr. Gordon’s philosophy. He knows that an informed and understood client is ultimately a more successful client in their legal matter.
Mr. Gordon has been recognized by the independent, peer-rated Southern California’s Super Lawyers for his dedication and contribution to the family law community, being named a “Rising Star” for the years 2009-2017. He is a member of both the Los Angeles County and Beverly Hills Bar Associations.
Mr. Gordon earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in May 2005. In law school, Mr. Gordon was active in student government, including serving as the Student Bar Association President for the 2004-2005 academic year. He was also selected to participate in the prestigious Hale Moot Court Honors Program.
In his spare time, Mr. Gordon enjoys being in the mountains with family and friends, skiing, camping, hiking, and summiting peaks.
